SULPHUR RODEO SIDE POT FOR JUNIOR PATRIOT

For contestants who entered the Junior Patriot side pot,

email info@patriotevent.com to request either moving to the April date or

requesting a refund. Include Contestant Name, Global ID,

and how you want the side pot from this weekend's cancelled dates handled.


REVISED SCHEDULE

The Sulphur Junior High and High School Rodeos have moved to April 10, 11, 12, 2026,

at the West Cal Arena in Sulphur.

We thank Silver Spur Rodeo Louisiana for moving to accommodate LHSRA.

Prom Details:

Ø  $40 per person/$80 per couple (Checks payable to LHSRA)

Ø  Dates are not required!

Ø  Parents are invited and very much encouraged to chaperone (at no charge)

Ø  Open ONLY TO HIGH SCHOOL MEMBERS and their Guests (Junior High members are NOT allowed as guests.)

Ø  NHSRA rules apply.

Ø  Dress Code for Cowgirls – Formal/Semi-Formal

    Dress Code for Cowboys – Jeans with Jacket, Sweater or Vest, Cowboy Hats and Boots.

Ø  Prom attire should be appropriate as for a school dance.

Ø  Photos will begin at 4:00pm and end at 10:00pm.

Ø  Door prizes of any type are requested! Names will be drawn at the end of Prom.  Any type of prize, gift card, etc., is welcome!  LHSRA members MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN at the end of the dance.  Just bring items to the prom. Donors are welcome to include a card with their name or business name.

Limits on Cuttings & Reined Cow Horse Events at Qualifying Rodeos

Continuation of hosting up to 2 each Cuttings and Reined Cow Horse Events per Qualifying Rodeo failed (5 in favor, 15 opposed)

Each Qualifying Rodeo has the option to host no more than 1 Cutting and/or Reined Cow Horse event in 2025-2026.

 

State Finals Point System

State Finals’ Point System will remain at 30% of points available per event during the Qualifying Season

 

Rodeo Season + State Finals Sponsorships Available

Interested Sponsors may opt in to year-long sponsorships, including signage at all Qualifying Rodeos and participation as a State Finals’ Sponsor at $5000.

The Calcasieu Parish Police Jury will be considered a 2025-2026 Year-long Sponsor.

QUALIFYING RODEO FUNDRAISERS

LHSRA reserves the right to be the exclusive provider of LHSRA/state items,

 including clothing, caps, jackets and all other promotional items.

Promotional items sold by Qualifying Rodeo Clubs shall not be soft goods

(clothing, caps , totes bags and similar items).

Other items sold may have the name of a rodeo club,

but nothing referencing LHSRA, Louisiana HIgh School Rodeo, State Finals, etc.,

or anything that reflects a reference to the state-wide assocation. 

All club references are appropriate.
